Pietra Zita Saffron from Sant'Angelo di Brolo is a precious and authentic spice , cultivated with passion in the heart of Sicily .
Every year, between mid-October and mid-November , the harvest takes place at dawn , when the fields transform into a wonderful carpet of purple flowers . The stigmas are patiently hand-picked and then dried at low temperatures to preserve their aroma, color, and quality as much as possible.
