Korai Wine
Pietra Zita's Korai is a white wine that tells the most authentic soul of the Sicilian hinterland. Produced from pure Grecanico Dorato grapes, it is born in Sant'Angelo di Brolo, in the heart of the Nebrodi mountains, where the vineyards climb up to 800 meters above sea level on a clayey soil exposed to the East: a unique environment, capable of giving freshness, aromatic finesse and extraordinary territorial identity.
Cultivated with a Guyot-pruned trellis system and a high density of 6000 plants per hectare, Grecanico yields balanced and fragrant bunches, hand-harvested in the first ten days of October, when they reach full ripeness. The winemaking process respects the delicacy of the fruit: a light pressing, natural decantation, and fermentation in steel at controlled temperature. This is followed by an aging of 6 months, always in steel, which preserves the varietal purity and mineral freshness.
The result is an elegant and luminous wine, with floral, citrus, and slightly herbaceous notes, supported by a pleasant savoriness and a perfect alcoholic balance (12.5% Vol.). Korai is the sincere expression of a high, windy, and uncontaminated territory: a white wine that combines agricultural tradition and modern oenological cleanliness.
Pietra Zita cultivates and handcrafts in Sicily, between the Nebrodi Mountains, in Sant'Angelo di Brolo (Messina): genuine jams, EVO oil, saffron and ready-to-serve specialities. Every product comes from natural ingredients and great care: no shortcuts, just pure taste and a supply chain followed from the field to the jar.
