Awarded a Golden Drop at the 2020 competition for the selection of great national honeys , Mieli Siciliani 's Citrus Honey is produced mainly in the Catania Plain , in suitable areas such as Paternò, Biancavilla and Motta Sant'Anastasia , located at an altitude between 200 and 500 meters above sea level. Other important production areas are found in the Lentini Plain and the Ribera Plain , flat areas rich in citrus groves . The Citrus Honey is an authentic delight that encapsulates the sun and scents of the island. Harvested from the blossoms of orange, lemon and mandarin trees, this honey is a true concentration of freshness and natural sweetness. With a golden color and soft consistency, it offers a delicate and fruity flavor, with aromatic notes reminiscent of freshly picked citrus fruits.
