Malvasia delle Lipari DOC Passito “Na’jm” - Cantine Colosi
The Malvasia delle Lipari DOC Passito Najm by Cantine Colosi is a passito of rare elegance, an authentic expression of the Aeolian Islands. Produced with 95% Malvasia delle Lipari and 5% Corinto Nero, grown on volcanic soil in Salina, this wine presents a coppery golden color with greenish reflections.
On the nose, it offers an intense and aromatic bouquet, rich in apricot, fig, honey, almond, and delicate notes of jasmine. On the palate, it is sweet yet balanced, soft and harmonious, with a slight tannicity that gives it structure and finesse.
The grapes are left for natural drying before fermentation; this is followed by aging in steel for one year and 4 months in bottle, which contribute to its elegance and persistence. With its 13% vol., served at around 15 °C, Najm is ideal with Sicilian desserts such as piparelle and zulli, also perfect with blue cheeses or as a meditation wine.
A wine of great prestige, Najm has received numerous national and international awards over the years, distinguishing itself among the excellences of Italian enology. Among the most important awards is the prestigious Cinque Grappoli Bibenda recognition, awarded for several editions as a testament to the consistent quality and elegance of this extraordinary Aeolian passito.
