Guardiano Del Faro - Salina Rosso IGP - Cantine Colosi
Il Guardiano del Faro by Cantine Colosi is a red wine of great character, made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes grown in the prestigious “523” parcel, overlooking the promontory of Capo Faro in Salina. The volcanic soils and constant sea breeze give the wine an authentic, mineral and territorial profile.
Visually, it presents an intense ruby color tending towards garnet. On the nose, it releases deep notes of red fruits, accompanied by hints of vanilla, spices, and delicate floral and mineral undertones.
The sip is full, structured, and complex, supported by a marked acidity and a decisive tannicity which, thanks to around 12 months of aging in oak wood, transform into elegance, softness, and great roundness.
With its 14% ABV, served at 16–18 °C, it is perfect with aged cheeses, grilled meats, game, or rich and flavorful pasta dishes. Also ideal for aging, a slight decantation is recommended before serving.
