Salina Virgona Capers - Small
Winners of the Top Italian Food 2024, 2025 and 2026 Gambero Rosso and recognized as a Slow Food Presidium, the Salina capers from Azienda Agricola Virgona are hand-picked between May and July, selecting the firmest buds of the tondina variety. After being laid out on jute cloths, they are raw-salted with coarse sea salt according to a traditional method that enhances their compactness and marine aroma. With their intense and authentic notes, they bring the gastronomic excellence of Sicily to your table. The small buds, with their explosive flavor and firm texture, are perfect for finishing salads, canapés, and creamy sauces with a touch of refined lightness.
The Virgona Farm promotes the winemaking tradition of Salina and, in addition to wine, is specialized in the processing of capers and typical preserves. The family management guarantees genuine, natural and high quality products, respecting the tradition of the island.
